How office affects the voter
Educational Service Units (ESU’s) were created by the Nebraska Legislature in 1965 toprovide shared educational resources for smaller school districts. For example, aspeech and language teacher could serve several schools in different districts as part ofan ESU. There were originally 19 ESU’s.
Duties and Responsibilities
The board of the Educational Service Unit shall determine the participation of the Educational Service Unit in providing supplementary educational services. Each individual ESU determines which educational services they will provide for their group of school districts.

Must be a registered voter. Must reside in the district for which he/she is a candidate. No board member of an educational service unit shall be employed by the educational service unit board on which he or she is a board member.
