VILLAGE OF RAYMOND, LANCASTER COUNTY, NEBRASKA
PROPOSAL TO IMPOSE LOCAL SALES AND USE TAX ALLOCATED TO CAPITAL AND INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDING STREETS, UTILITIES, PARKS, LANDSCAPING, BEAUTIFICATION AND TREE PLANTING
Shall the governing body of the Village of Raymond, Lancaster
County, Nebraska impose a sales and use tax upon the same
transactions within the municipality on which the State of Nebraska is authorized to impose a tax, specifically, impose a tax of one and one-half percent (1.5%) for village capital and infrastructure improvements including streets, utilities, parks, landscaping, beautification and tree planting.
FOR said imposition of the Sales and Use Tax, subject to the stated terms.
AGAINST said imposition of the Sales and Use Tax, subject to the stated terms.
A VOTE FOR: If a majority of votes are cast in favor of the question, then the governing body of the Village shall be empowered to proceed to impose a sales and use tax pursuant to the Local Option Revenue Act.
A VOTE AGAINST: If a majority of those voting on the question shall be opposed to such tax, then the governing body shall not impose such sales and use tax.
