Proposition For Sales And Use Tax Allocation

A vote “YES” in favor of the Proposition will authorize the City of Valley to allocate up to 50% of City sales tax revenue for the construction and related costs of a new municipal swimming pool and aquatic facility, while maintaining the City’s current
plan to replace all critical water mains in four years.

A vote “NO” opposed to the Proposition will require all of the local sales and use tax to continue to be allocated to water improvement and wastewater improvement projects.

Shall the City Council of the City of Valley, Nebraska, be authorized to allocate up to fifty percent (50%) of the revenue the City collects from its one and one-half percent (1.5%) local sales and use tax, on and after January 1, 2027, for the purpose of planning, designing, constructing, equipping, financing, and maintaining a new municipal swimming pool and related
aquatic facilities?
