SHALL ARTICLE III, SECTION 4 OF THE CHARTER BE AMENDED TO PROVIDE THAT COUNCIL MEMBERS SHALL NOT BE QUALIFIED TO HOLD OFFICE FOR MORE THAN TWO CONSECUTIVE FOUR-YEAR TERMS?

I vote FOR the proposed amendment.
I vote AGAINST the proposed amendment.

Our Explanation

Back in 2018, Lincoln voted in 3-term (12 years) term limits for the mayor.  This provision would limit the council members to two consecutive 4-year terms.

Voting FOR this amendment would mean a councilperson could serve 2 consecutive terms (8 years).
Voting AGAINST this amendment would leave things as they are with no limits – unless #5 passes.
