Rank the vote

Ranked choice voting gives voters the option to rank their preferred candidates in the order of their preference (i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc). The ranking requires candidates to win by having greater than 50% of voter support. If no one reaches 50%, the worst performing candidate is eliminated, and the votes they had received are transferred to peoples’ next preferred candidates.  Additional information on ranked choice voting and Nebraskans’ opinions on it can be found at the following links: Rank The Vote Nebraska and FairVote.
