The Nebraska Judicial System includes several layers.  Some of the judges actually have Federal appointments so voters have no “say” concerning them.  But from the Nebraska Supreme Court down to the County Court level, voters can say “yes” or “no” to the “Should Judge ‘so and so’ be retained?” question.  That question is asked of each judge every six years.  For complete detail on how the system works, go to
